A father's day thought by Grace Sibanda

Image
It is Father's day and I am genuinely concerned about the state of fatherhood in this world, history will always repeat itself but do we leave it up to that to see what brand of fathers the future holds.  I am of the believe that you can catch them whilst they are still young as in Ndebele we say 'isigogo sigoqwa sisasemanzi' (cow skin is shaped whilst it's still wet), this may be a truth but in living I am realizing that perhaps we may need to adapt use of chemicals to fix the folding that was not done so well. Perhaps it was done well yet somewhere along the way it has gotten messed up. Being in my 20s I am surrounded by a lot of peers who are trying to figure this life thing out.  I can attest to the fact that most have honestly told me that they do not have a clue what it means to be a father to another human being mostly because they have had absent fathers, presently absent fathers, or no fathers at all. This brand of fathers of the future holds the hope that when...

MODIBE MATSEPANE Modibe Matsepane is a gentleman from the Limpopo province who made his way to Johannesburg after having completed his high school studies to pursue a degree in environment and geological studies. In that process he discovered a passion for other interests such as business and understanding money. In pursuit of this passion he then started a business supplying graduation regalia but it did not do well, in no time they had to shut it down. Although the first business failed he was determined and continued learning about money, business and wealth. As the story of a true entrepreneur goes he also got involved in bitcoin and stopped, started a business and stopped, all these detours in the entrepreneurial journey did not stand in his way of persevering through it all. As it stands he successfully runs a coffee business, Mopet coffee based in the University of Johannesburg. He is also involved in crypto-currency education with a company called Paxful. RATIBA ISRAEL MOHALE So who is Ratiba? He is a young man passionate about community development and anything that involves impacting the youth, because young people are the future, this is through working on their perspectives and looking at what impact they will have on the country and growing their impact in this world. Mostly what I do as I have quite a reach on social media platforms, I daily put out a positive message, it is not a job per se, it comes from within and...

In Conversation with Mhlonitshwa Nkala

God saw that it was not good for man to be alone, he then caused the man to sleep and took out his rib and thus formed woman and presented her to him and he said this is now bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh. Adam identified his one and knew it was her and not another. We see this as the genesis of what we call marriage, a union created by God for His glory. In order to understand the dynamics of this institution and set us young people up to get it right, I had to have a conversation with Thee Mhlonitshwa Nkala, yes good people Thee, this is the only certified Mhlonitshwa Nkala. He describes himself as a young man who is vibrant for Christ & raising awareness. This young man is not only passionate about Christ he is also an Economist and an aspiring Entrepreneur. He then went on to introduce us to the VIP code, this is something he lives by. It represents Vision & Values; Integrity, Identity & Inspiration; Purpose, Power & Passion. All these feed in...

In conversation with: Lebo Lion

Image
It is a rare occasion to come across one whose passion supersedes their appearance yet also even more in their articulation such that the words you constantly read by them suddenly come to life. When we finally spoke Lebo expressed that now that we have spoken it all seems so real now. I had no idea what I was in for but rest assured all of you reading this shall clearly see what a treasure this conversation turned out to be particularly to inspire you. So who is LeboLion, Is lion her actual surname? She laughed when I asked this and expressed that it’s an alter ego (a powerful one I must say), making reference to how Queen B (not Bonang), Beyonce calls herself Sasha fierce, hence Lebo Lion. This made me think of how important it is to take care of the perspectives we have of ourselves, imagine if she had called herself Lebo dove, Lebo ant, that would have directly played into the approach she takes into things. A lion is the king of the jungle and below you will see how Leb...
